By replacing traditional bill acceptors with CPi (Mars) Talos Series Bill Recyclers, the Modular Series change machine is easily transformed into an efficient low-volume bill exchanger. This configuration is ideal for laundromats, car washes, arcades, and other cash-based businesses that need dependable change distribution without the complexity of a full-scale bill breaker.

How the Dual Bill Recycler System Works

Each bill recycler is programmed and loaded with $5 bills, holding approximately 25–30 bills per recycler barrel. When a customer inserts a $20 bill, the machine dispenses:

• Three $5 bills, delivered one at a time through the bill acceptor opening

• Twenty quarters, dispensed from the coin hoppers

The recycler concept is designed for efficiency and self-replenishment. As customers insert $5 bills throughout the day to receive quarters, those bills are recycled back into the system—helping maintain availability and reduce the need for frequent service visits.

Intelligent Control & Continuous Operation

Standard Change-Makers uses Modular Relay Control Boards to manage the recyclers as independent bill dispensers. When one recycler runs low on bills, the system automatically transfers dispensing to the second recycler to ensure uninterrupted operation. If both recyclers become empty, the machine activates a “Coins Only When Lit” indicator on the front panel, clearly informing customers that bill change is temporarily unavailable.
