Joined Standard Change-Makers in 1990, leading the Philadelphia Service Center

INDIANAPOLIS – Standard Change-Makers announces that following a stellar 34-year career as the Eastern U.S. Regional Sales Manager, Dan Wagner has decided to retire. Dan joined Standard Change-Makers in 1990, after working as a computer programmer for the WaWa Convenience store chain in Eastern Pennsylvania. He took on the management of the Philadelphia branch office when Barry O’Brien was promoted to Vice President of Sales and moved to Indianapolis. Dan managed the Philadelphia office working with long-time Service Manager, Herb Jackson, and many technicians and branch secretaries over the years, before the office was closed in 2009.

Dan will be missed, especially his amazing recall of names, events, and products. He can recall names of customers, specific situations, and all the various products we have manufactured throughout his tenure. He is a total professional and takes great care of his customers. He was the best at finding a solution to any problem and then implementing that solution to a satisfactory conclusion. I’m sure he would agree that he will miss the daily contact with the many people that he got to know over the years — but he will definitely not miss the countless nights and weekends away from home and family.

Plans for a Happy Retirement

As for future plans, Dan says he wants to finish up some projects around the house, start restoring his 1994 Ford Crew Cab truck, and do some traveling with his family. Most of all, he looks forward to watching the sunsets without having to worry about work issues. On behalf of the Standard Change-Makers team, we wish Dan a long and happy retirement. It is well-earned and much deserved.
