UniNote Bill Dispenser was first used in the BX/BCX Bill Exchanger Series introduced in 2003
INDIANAPOLIS – Standard Change-Makers, a leading designer and manufacturer of currency change machines used in self-service businesses, regrets to announce the discontinuation of service support for the UniNote Bill Dispenser. Introduced in 2003 as part of the BX/BCX series bill exchangers, the UniNote has served countless businesses with its single denomination bill dispensing functionality, sold as our model numbers BX1000, BX1000RL, BCX1000, and BCX1000RL.
The UniNote Bill Dispenser was a single-note, entry-level bill dispenser used in several ATM machines and Standard Change-Makers’ early BX/BCX Bill Exchanger series machines up through 2010.
Originally developed by G+D (Giesecke+Devrient GmbH) in Munich, Germany, the UniNote dispenser showcased its reliability in entry-level ATM machines before finding its place in our bill exchangers. Standard Change-Makers subsequently acquired the manufacturing rights from G+D and began producing the dispensers at our Indianapolis facility.
Throughout its tenure from 2003 to 2010, the UniNote emerged as the preferred bill dispenser in our earliest Bill Exchanger Series products due to its simplistic design that allowed owners to replace the rollers and calibrate it on their workbench. But advancements in bill-dispensing technology led Standard to integrate the Fujitsu F50 (single note) and F53 (dual note) dispensers in 2009, offering increased capacity and better dispensing reliability. In subsequent years, we have offered other bill dispensing products – such as the Glory MiniMech (single note), Glory MultiMech (dual note), and the Genmega Single Note and Genmega Dual Note bill dispensers.
Unfortunately, the challenges of sourcing essential components, such as pick-rollers, at a reasonable cost, alongside technological obsolescence of the UniNote, have led to our difficult decision. As a result, Standard Change Makers will cease offering repairs and support for the UniNote bill dispenser effective January 31, 2024. Customers in need of servicing will be encouraged to explore our latest bill exchanger models.
